Bending over backwards, grow a backbone!, spineless like a jellyfish, stand tall, it sends shivers up my spine… all these expressions and more relate to the consciousness of your spine.
Each vertebrae has more specific psychological meanings associated with problems around that vertebrae. Join us to explore all the details! In general, spine issues are thought to be related to refusing to flow with the support that life provides, as well as rejecting the spiritual connection to the point that resources provided by the universe can be seen as irrelevant, “poison apples”, potential betrayals or nothing but requirements, responsibilities and restrictions. Issues here represent rigid inflexibility aka an inability to support life processes. The family dynamic that contributes to this is one that’s primitive, rejecting, exploitative and untrustworthy in its dysfunctions. The spine is thought to be your antennae to the consciousness of who you are, tuning into all that you think and feel about yourself. Supported by the small intrinsic muscles that run between each vertebrae, it provides a wealth of information from physical movement to gaining awareness and insight about your very nature. The bladder meridian runs along either side of the spine, governing these intrinsic spinal muscles between each vertebrae that relate to both our character as well as our urges, our desires, our libido. The nature of group work allows, from a quantum physics understanding of increasing observation, for exceptional effectiveness. “Every session it feels like you’re treating just me, are you sure these sessions aren’t just for me?” is the most common feedback I received when working with group BodyTalk sessions, pre-recorded or live. |
