Resilient Wonder

From: $82.00 / month

Each breath, each connection point, opens up a portal into the mystery; we will honour each movement as sacred and alive with potential, inviting in resilient wonder.

“Resilient wonder” refers to the concept of using a sense of wonder to help build resilience, particularly during challenging times. It suggests that rather than relying solely on grit and determination, cultivating a sense of awe and curiosity can reframe difficult experiences, sparking creativity and optimism. Wonder helps people find new perspectives, solutions, and joy, which can aid in bouncing back from setbacks and enhancing overall well-being.

“I have been and still am a seeker, but I have ceased to questions stars and books; I have begun to listen to the teaching my blood whispers to me… Within you there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time and be yourself.” – Herman Hesse
“The gold isn’t found in a wound that’s already healed. The gold is found in a wound that’s weeping, in a wound that’s in process.”” ― Matt Licata

In December we will be working with:
The Poet
The Artist, The Witness, The Truth-Teller

The Poet’s work is to feel immensely and not be afraid. They must seek out truth in the darkest corners of the world and carry it back for all to see. This unique capacity resides within us all, regardless of our relationship to creativity. When The Poet energy is present, there is a call for deep honesty and reflection, for seeing the big picture within the little one. The poet rides effortlessly between the personal and universal. It’s possible that others may not seem to listen or care about The Poet’s work, but do not be discouraged. The words of The Poet ring true for centuries to comes, soothing the wounds of despair and violence that captivate our world. The Poet’s work is never finished. Find your voice, and trust that the wind will carry it.

It’s likely there is a poem or pet that was meaningful to you at a young age, revisit and reread it now. Be open to it’s message.

The Poet is related to the shaman and the bridge, these archetypes hover in the meeting place between the everyday and the sacred.

When Light: clairvoyant, wise, timeless
When Dark: harmful words, sharp tongue, thwarted creativity
Go Deeper: Spend one hour reading poetry, then one more

You’re invited to an ongoing online subscription series as a sacred space to explore the heart of “resilient wonder”, a spacious place where healing, grace, and embodied presence come alive through organicity, radical acceptance and deep curiosity. Through breathwork, participants are invited to journey inward, gently attuning to their body’s natural rhythm, allowing emotional residues to dissolve into spacious awareness. The practice of dyads offers a safe relational field where participants can speak from the heart, allowing previously concealed aspects of their inner landscapes to emerge in the mirror of compassionate listening.

The container will be divinely led. Each month I’ll pull a card from Kim Krans’s Wild Unknown Archetypes and that will be our theme for the month. I’ll pull the card on the third wed of each month and that will set the container for the following month’s exploration. What’s our first archetypal exploration? Scroll down to read about it in the schedule posted below.

This series is an invitation to reconnect with the innate wonder of being alive, to embrace both the light and shadow of the human experience with curiosity, and to cultivate a deepening resilience through presence. Breath by breath, session by session, participants are gently guided to reawaken a childlike openness and joy, even in the face of life’s inevitable challenges. Here, breath becomes a bridge to the deeper currents of life, and the practice of dyads offers the rare gift of being truly seen and heard.

Over time, as wonder deepens, participants will be invited to soften into a new way of being—one where resilience is born not out of force, but from surrender to the unfolding mystery of each present moment. This series is more than a practice; it is a call to live from the sacred heart, with eyes open to the wonder and beauty that quietly permeates the everyday.

This subscription offers both immediate opportunity for exploration and long-term personal growth, making it a powerful tool for navigating life’s ups and downs with grace. Amongst all the complexities of your life and it’s roots, let’s locate and reorient back to your sense of self; providing the capacity to step into your vitality and it’s expression in all facets of your life. Perhaps even befriending your bodymind in ways that you weren’t able to previously imagine. What are you interested in calling in to this expression of your life? Let’s cultivate that together, in community, with like minded and hearted folks.

This is your place to explore what it may mean to embody new ways as we move from what has been to what’s possible now. As with most adventures, I offer no guarantees as we embark into new territory – the layers of our emotional bodies are rife with possibilities, where your travels take you to will likely illuminate what’s happening inside of you. I imagine this to be a rich opportunity for you to reconnect to and listen to and be with yourself in ways that may be different, affording new possibilities and room for growth that may not have seemed so available before. What this transforms in your life gets to now be is a gift to behold; and as we befriend the contents of our bodymind, making peaceful allies with what may have seemed like the dragons of your lives, things will surely transform as liberated energy from what seemed personal gets held in and with new perspectives.

“Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet

In our go go go worlds, it’s easy to see that juggling work, family, health, etc often leads to a demanding schedule. More pressure, more stress can mean more anxiety. Combine that with seemingly less time to take care of ourselves and you’ve got a recipe for burnout. Exhaustion and fatigue give rise to all those sabotages, preventing optimal health. Yet perhaps somewhere in here there’s something of value, perhaps those ways of being that aren’t serving when sat with and given attention on purpose may reveal how they’ve been secretly attempting to support you, in ways that may be surprising due to the nature of their clever disguise as things you don’t want. Perhaps they hold rich clues as to what’s transpiring in your inner world, calling in your awareness, calling in opportunity for something new to be created on the very backbone of the disguised blessing of what have seemed to be painful or challenging.

In November we will be exploring The Mystic:

“The Seeker, The Lightworker, The Dreamer

The Mystic is often misunderstood in our culture, depicted as a wandering or lighthearted daydreamer. Yet like Shiva, the true Mystic plays a critical role in society, remaining fearlessly dedicated to the path of transformation. In order to save the earth from darkness, Shiva swallows the poison of the world and holds it in this throat, slowly transmuting the liquid into nectar. This is the work of The mystic. They do not fear darkness but rather sit in the presence of it, harness the potential and latent energy behind it, and embed it with light. They are patient and prudent changemakers, seeking growth above all else. Unanswerable questions are The mystic’s lifeblood. The Mystic revels in mystery, in the great riddle of life, dancing with the forces of light and dark upon its wings.

It may seem that they ystic is inward facing, yet its light beams back to the world with the strngth of a thousand stars.

Like any lightworker, the mystic must build a relationship with fire. This begins by awakening the inner flame (or tapas) within.

When light: remover of darkness, visionary, ageless
When dark: expects results, seeks attention and recognition
Go deeper: Zen koans, poetry, Murakami novels”

    Dyad Info:

Dyads

Dyads are a communication and personal development practice involving two people engaging in a structured dialogue. The main benefits of dyads include enhancing communication, fostering self-awareness, and promoting personal growth. Below is an outline of both the benefits and process of dyads:

**Benefits of Dyads**

1. Improved Communication Skills:
Dyads help participants express themselves clearly and listen actively, enhancing their ability to communicate effectively.

2. Emotional Intelligence and Empathy:
By listening deeply and responding to another person’s thoughts and feelings, dyads encourage the development of empathy and emotional awareness.

3. Self-Awareness and Clarity:
Engaging in structured conversation helps participants reflect on their own thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, promoting self-discovery.

4. Deepening Relationships:
Regular dyads can strengthen the bond between participants, as they foster trust and vulnerability in a safe, structured environment.

5. Conflict Resolution:
Dyads can serve as a non-confrontational space to address conflicts or misunderstandings, leading to better conflict resolution.

6. Stress Relief:
The act of sharing thoughts and emotions in a non-judgmental space can reduce stress and anxiety.

**Process of Dyads**

1. Choosing a Partner:
The dyad involves two people who are willing to engage openly and without judgment. The participants must be willing to listen and share sincerely.

2. Setting a Topic or Intention:
A clear focus is set, either by the facilitator (if there is one) or by the participants. This topic can be a question (e.g., “What are you feeling right now?” or “What do you want in your life?”) or a theme for personal reflection.

3. Structured Timing:
The participants take turns speaking and listening. Usually, one person speaks for a set amount of time (e.g., 5 minutes) while the other listens without interrupting or reacting. After the time is up, the roles switch. This alternation continues for the duration of the session.

4. Non-Reactivity in Listening:
The listener remains silent, providing full attention and presence to the speaker. They do not offer feedback, advice, or judgments, allowing the speaker to fully express themselves.

5. No Agenda for Fixing:
The purpose of a dyad is not to solve the speaker’s issues but to give space for them to articulate their thoughts and feelings. There is no pressure to respond with solutions.

6. Conclusion or Reflection:
After several rounds, the dyad ends with a reflection phase. Participants can share how they felt during the process or insights they gained.

Dyads are used in various settings, including personal development workshops, therapy, meditation practices, and team-building exercises. They create a focused and intimate environment for self-expression and connection.

Conscious Connected Breathwork – Numa Breathwork Info:

Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB), also known as Numa Breathwork, is a powerful breathwork technique designed to promote emotional, physical, and spiritual healing. It involves continuous, rhythmic breathing without pauses between inhaling and exhaling, which can create a meditative state, improve energy flow, and release stored trauma or tension. Here’s a breakdown of its benefits and the process:

Benefits of Conscious Connected Breathwork:

1. Emotional Release: CCB can help release deep-seated emotions or trauma stored in the body. By accessing non-ordinary states of consciousness, people often uncover and process past emotional pain.

2. Stress Reduction: The rhythmic breathing helps calm the nervous system, reducing anxiety and stress levels while promoting a deep sense of relaxation.

3. Improved Mental Clarity: As a meditative practice, it often leads to mental clarity and heightened awareness, helping individuals gain insights into their subconscious mind and patterns of behavior.

4. Increased Energy and Vitality: By oxygenating the body more efficiently, this breathwork enhances energy flow and can leave individuals feeling rejuvenated and alive.

5. Physical Healing: The increased oxygen intake may support detoxification, improve circulation, and even relieve physical pain as tension is released from the body.

6. Spiritual Awakening: Many participants report experiencing profound spiritual insights, a sense of oneness, or connection with their higher selves.

Process of Conscious Connected Breathwork (Numa Breathwork):

1. Preparation: The session begins with setting an intention. The participant is guided to focus on a specific area they wish to heal or explore.

2. Continuous Breathing: The core of the practice involves breathing deeply in and out without pauses, creating a circular breath pattern. Inhalation is usually through the mouth, and the exhalation is relaxed. The facilitator may use specific pacing to encourage deeper breathing.

3. Release and Emotional Expression: As the process unfolds, participants may experience various sensations, emotions, or memories. They are encouraged to allow these feelings to surface, which could include tears, laughter, shaking, or vocalizing.

4. Facilitator’s Guidance: Throughout the session, the facilitator may use bodywork, sound, or verbal cues to help participants deepen their breath, release tension, or move through emotional blocks.

5. Integration: After the breathing session, there is a period of rest and reflection. The facilitator helps the participant integrate their experiences, often discussing insights and how to apply them in daily life.

6. Grounding: The session usually ends with grounding exercises to help participants reconnect with their bodies and the present moment.
